The giant freestanding bath in our room was a luxurious treat.
The breakfast buffet was shockingly poor with limited options and low-quality ingredients.

Make sure to get superior king room with large bathroom, garden view, for instance. Offers excellent service and delicious food. There's heated pool and free parking. Its location is perfect, a short walk from Church of st Teilo.

Nice location in a village, nice and interesting bar, comfortable room, dinner was fine, junior staff were friendly and welcoming.
40 minute wait for breakfast on the Sunday, when it was very busy. The manager appeared on the Monday and everything seemed more efficient. However, we were shocked when we checked out: the manager asked for a 3% surcharge if we paid by credit card: we hadn't heard anything about this rule before. It seemed even more unprofessional, though, when my partner complained about the surcharge and the manager backed off and let us pay the expected rate with our credit card.

The Location & Food
Lots!!!! We requested 2 cots for our 18 month old twins and only got one - resulting in 2 sleepless nights (not much of a holiday). We requested twice while we were there however were told that they didn't have one!! No so-called spa, like all the other reviews the pool was closed, they shouldn't be calling themselves a spa if they do not offer such facilities. Ordered a glass of wine from the bar and was handed a filthy glass with all kinds of germs around the rim, yuck! The room rates are far too high for the hotel, I would not pay anymore than $50 a night for a family room. Luckily I did book the room through Booked.net, otherwise they would have charged us a further 50 pounds for the 2 nights, what a rip off!

The room was charming and beautifully decorated, with a fine bathroom with a powerful shower. Although the check-in process was initially confusing and breakfast had limited options, the peaceful atmosphere and well-kept gardens were great. Wi-Fi was reliable, compensating for the lack of phone signal.

Choosing a bunk house room with our dog was ideal-it was spacious and had a huge en suite bathroom. After a day of walks around the fine Gower, we had dinner at the hotel, so good with delicious food. The staff were friendly and accommodating, managing to find us a table despite the busy environment. A lovely terrace overlooking the garden added to our relaxed atmosphere.
